Shockwave
What is Shockwave?
Shockwave content is viewed on the Web from within all popular browsers
(Netscape, IE, AOL) using a Web technology called, Shockwave Player. Introduced
by Macromedia in 1995. Shockwave Player enables the viewing of media-rich
Web content regardless of Internet connection speed. It also ensures that
content is viewed with identical performance and features on both Windows
and Macintosh operating systems, and on browsers including Internet Explorer,
Netscape Navigator, and AOL.
With Macromedia Shockwave Player, you can enjoy multimedia games, learning
applications, interactive product demos, e-merchandising applications,
games, music, multi-user interplay, rich-media chat, and more using exciting
new 3D technology.
Macromedia Shockwave Player includes Macromedia Flash Player and is free.
