What is QuickTime?

At its simplest, Apple QuickTime is software that allows you to play back media on your computer, such as movie trailers and animations. QuickTime is free and available for PC and Macintosh.

There is also a more advance version of QuickTime called Apple QuickTime Pro. Although this version is not free, it has authoring capabilities and additional viewing options for the advanced user.
