What is a PDF file?

PDF (Portable Document Format) is a way to create documents in a way that ensures that the viewer will see the page exactly as the author intended, regardless of browser or operating system being used.

For this to work, your computer must have Adobe Acrobat Reader on it so that it can display the specialized files, called PDF files.
