FILE Magazine

From time to time we come across a very cool site that captures our attention, and although we think that we have a lot of those on ClassBrain, FILE Magazine - A Collection of Unexpected Photography turns out to be one of the rare jewels that we place at the top of our list.

File Magazine publishes photographs that look at the world through a somewhat skewed view. That's what it takes sometimes to see the world in a new way. FILE magazine has only been around since August 2004, but it looks as though it's already making its mark.

In addition to the collection, there are specialized galleries such as Times Square by John Aaron, The 2X Project by Brian Milo and Bob, and Lost America by Troy Paiva to name just a few. There is also a very cool section called Karaoke Camera which allows you to submit photos on a theme of their choice. There are some very creative submissions in this section.

Overall this is a great site for anyone interested in photography to explore. They take submissions in all of their categories and they link back to the photographer's site as part of their policy. This is obviously also a great place for those interested in finding innovative photographers. Whether you take the photos or enjoy looking at the ones other people take, you shouldn't miss FILE Magazine.
