Over the course of our lives we make many friends, but then there are people with whom we never seem to get along. This set of Harry Potter writing prompts is centered around the theme of 'difficult relationships.'

Writing Prompt #1
How would you handle the situation if someone treated you the way Draco Malfoy treats Harry Potter? Now imagine the situation if you had magical powers like Harry does. What would you do?

Writing Prompt #2
If you could change into someone for one hour, like Harry Potter and Ron Weasely changed into Gregory Goyle and Vincent Crabbe, who would you change into and what would you want to do while you were them?

Writing Prompt #3
Harry Potter doesn’t get along with his cousin Dudley Dursley. Do you have a particular family member with whom it is hard to get along? What makes your relationship so complicated?

Writing Prompt #4
Professor Severus Snape is not Harry’s favorite teacher. Do you have a teacher with whom you don’t get along? What makes them different than the rest of your teachers?

Writing Prompt #5
Think of one person in your life who you disagree with all of the time. Write down three ways you could work out your differences.
