The Green School Project

Earn Money for Your School with Printer Ecology

Both of these programs are great ways for teens to raise money for their school, while doing something good for the environment. Stop complaining about the state of our environment, and step up to the plate and do something about it.

The Green School Project

Based on the alarming fact that 1.5 million used ink cartridges go to landfills each month and take 1,000 years to decompose, the Green School Project helps you help the environment.  The Project pays schools and districts to recycle their used printer, fax, and copier cartridges.  They provide all of the necessary materials free of charge.  Schools, businesses, and districts are all eligible to enroll in this program.  Once you are a member you become privy to up-to-date information on new programs, contests and more.  Help the environment and your school… get involved!

The Funding Factory

Since 1997 Funding Factory has made it possible for schools to succeed in fundraising.  By encouraging communities to recycle empty laser and inkjet cartridges as well as cell phones, schools can redeem points (or cash) earned for technology and/or recreation products.  Visit their website for more in-depth details and for suggestions on how to establish this practice in your own community.  As of now there are over 23,000 organizations enrolled.
