Opera Archive
By Cynthia Kirkeby

If you've ever wondered what the story was behind Figaro, Rigiletto, or Madame Butterfly, then there is a wonderful place for you to visit.

Chevron Texaco has sponsored the creation of a wonderful archive of opera. At this site you can choose an opera and then study about its cast and characters, composer, story and music, and synopsis. There are also some Real Audio exerpts of some of the music. Very cool!

Many of the resources are also available in Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

Visit the Chevron Texaco Opera Information Center now.
