Draw a Frog

Learn to draw a great-looking frog in 12 easy steps.

Step

http://wiki.ehow.com/images/a/aa/Frog01.JPG 1. Draw 2 circles about 1 inch in diameter, and 1 1/2 inches apart.
http://wiki.ehow.com/images/a/aa/Frog02.JPG 2. Draw a horizontal line through each eye circle.
image:frog03.JPG 3. Draw another half-circle inside each eye circle to form pupils.
image:frog04.JPG 4. Draw a line from the top of the left eye to the top of the right eye.
http://wiki.ehow.com/images/f/f0/Frog05.JPG 5. From the left side of the left eye, draw a curving line that goes below the eyes and connects to the right side of the right eye.
image:frog06.JPG 6. Draw a second curving line, going lower than the previous line, to form a lower jaw.

7. Put 2 dots between the eyes for the nose.
image:frog07.JPG 8. Draw 3 vertical lines downward from the jaw line, about 3 inches long. These will be the front legs.
http://wiki.ehow.com/images/b/b9/Frog08.JPG 9. Draw a half-heart shape downward from the jaw line, one shape on each side of the front legs. These will be the back legs.
image:frog09.JPG 10. Draw 6 straight lines fanning out from the bottom of the leg lines.
image:frog10.JPG 11. Connect these lines with wavy lines to form the webbed feet of your frog.
image:frog.JPG 12. Add any details you might think will personalize your frog.

Tips

  • A cheap, non-smudging sketching technique would be to use a light pencil crayon rather than a specialized pencil.
  • Experiment with different pupil shapes and placements.
  • Color the mouth red and pupils black, and the rest green, and add eyebrows off of the frog for a cartoon look.

Things You'll Need

  • paper
  • pencil, pen or marker
  • color of some kind; colored pencils, markers, paint
