Mozart: Piano Concerto No.27

This CD showcases Britten as supreme accompanist (chamber music, orchestral songs and concerto) of Mozart, a composer for whom he had great affinity. The recording highlights Britten's influence with Russian artists (particularly Richter and Rostropovich).

Mozart: Piano Concerto No.22, etc / Britten

Britten and the legendary Sviatoslav Richter reunite on this all stereo disc from 1967 recordings. Mozart's charismatic Piano Concerto No. 22, K482, contains cadenzas that Britten wrote specifically for Richter's visit.

Mozart: Symphonies Nos 29, 35 & 38

The powerful recordings represented on this CD of Mozart's 'Symphonies No 29,' 'No 35' and ' No 38' show conductor Sir Thomas Beecham's subtly pointed magic at its greatest, defying the present purist rage for period instruments.

Mozart: Symphony No.35, etc / Britten

Britten never commercially recorded Mozart's Symphony No. 35 "Haffner" or Haydn's Symphony No. 95 - two performances featured on this all stereo disc of recordings from 1965 to 1972. The CD aslo contains popular works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn.
