Meeting people can sometimes be challenging when you're in college and busy with classes. Check out Yahoo Personals to hang out with some great people online.

Just a few things to keep in mind...


Internet dating can be a very effective way to meet people, but just like any in any other dating situation, use common sense to stay safe.

Be cautious about giving out your home phone number. In case you don't realize it, someone can find out your address in seconds once they it.

Get a picture before you meet someone. It will give you a better idea of whether they have been describing themselves accurately.

Set up your first meeting in a public place. Coffee meetings are always a good way to go. This way you get to meet the person with very little stress, and see if you want to take the next step. There's nothing worse than setting up a long date for something like a concert, and finding that you can't stand the person. (Take my word on that one).

Make sure that someone knows where you are going...just in case, and check in with them to let them know you're okay.

Pay attention to your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, call off the meeting. Most of the time, you're brain has figured out something that you just haven't put your finger on yet. Better safe than sorry.

Remember to relax... It's just a date. If things work out...awesome, if not, try try again. ;) Have fun!
