Dream Themes

So I’m walking though my palace of gold surrounded by a sea of unrecognizable faces searching for a glass of water. My sister joins me and we side-track to a modern dance class as she admonishes me for being late. Suddenly the alarm sounds and everyone is rushing outside. There’s a huge wave heading towards our little golden palace and the goal is to reach higher ground. I wake myself up, because who wants to deal with that??

So what does all of this mean? It means it’s time to search a few dream dictionaries to figure this mess out. I know you’ve probably had similar experiences in which you wake up and still feel stuck in your dream. Write it down! Keep a journal next to your bed, on your night stand, whatever . . . just jot down a few key phrases. Believe it or not, you can learn a lot about yourself by researching your dreams. Let me prove my point.

According to the dream dictionaries I’ve come across on the web, here’s the scoop:

Palace of Gold
To see a beautiful, lavishly furnished palace means that you will know that a prospect of advancement in society is coming your way.

I’m okay with that.

Many Faces
To see happy, smiling faces shows that good luck will reward your efforts. A dream of weird, leering faces is warning you of potential danger to your person or misfortune will dog your steps.

Everyone had blank faces so I guess I’m in between.

Water
Dreaming of clear water is a sign of great good luck and prosperity, a dream of muddy water foretells sadness or sorrow for the dreamer through hearing of an illness or death of someone he/she knows well.

My water was clear. I actually dream of water all of the time . . . hmmm.

Sister
Family (duh), fellowship, fortune. You are aware of your surroundings.

Yeah, I was very aware of my King Midas palace.

Dance
The dance is always a good omen and it foretells many things. Joyous participation in life, movement as transcendence, success in love, big prosperity, change for the better.

Change for the better is good.

Alarm
Big changes. Troubles ahead.

Okay, so I’m a mass of contradictions. Yep, that about sums up my personality! Want to know more about yours? Check out these websites and analyze your dreams.
