Upload your photo to have it included in the world's largest tiger mosaic, as a statement of your support against the trade of tiger skins and parts. The finished mosaic will be delivered to the delegates from 171 countries at the June meeting of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species in the Netherlands.
The World Wildlife Fund needs your help. An enormous number of photos are needed to complete the mosaic. See the ones that have been added to date.
In 1993 China finally joined the international community in banning all domestic trade in tiger products. Since then many "tiger farms" have popped up. These private groups have raised over 4,000 captive tigers. If they were doing it to help the species, it would be wonderful, but they are currently lobbying the Chinese government to release the ban on tiger products! If they agree, it will mark the end of the wild tigers as well. There is a real fear that these groups will be a way for pouchers to circumvent the ban on this endangered species.
The other thing you can do to make a difference is to send a message to the Chinese government through the World Wildlife Fund. It only takes a moment, but it could save the tiger.
