Population Clocks

Will the World population reach seven billion in your lifetime? How many people are on the planet at this exact moment? Exactly how many of us are there in the United States? The only way to answer these types of questions used to be to visit a museum. With the advent of the Internet we are able to answer the above questions in real time and that’s what we like best... instant gratification!

POPClocks U.S. and World
The U.S. Census Bureau has put up this page with both the U.S. population estimate and the World population estimate. When you click on this link it calculates the amount of living people at that exact moment... down to the minute!

The World Population Clock

Here is where it gets interesting. The University of Princeton has their own version of the World population clock and guess what? It’s not the same as the U.S. Census Bureau! Who is right and how much of a difference is there in the calculations?

Human Population
U.C. Berkeley has come up with their own take on the population clock. You can actually punch in an exact date in history (one of our staff members tried it with their birthday) to find out how many people were on the planet that day. Compare your answer with the population today and prepare to be amazed!

Population Clock Australia
Our friends down under want to know how they stand up to the rest of the world, so they have set up their own population clock. Compare their stats to the U.S. or to the World.

Canada’s Population Clock
Our pals to the north outnumber Australians, but you have to times them by ten to equal the U.S. population. Check out Canada’s version of the Pop Clock.
