iThink, Therefore iAm

Okay, so the father of modern philosophy actually said “Cogito Ergo Sum,” but I’ll bet Rene Descartes never dreamed someone would use his line to bring attention to a set of computer resources. If you are a teacher running Mac OSX, then you most likely already have the tools necessary for your students to create some unbelievable projects. In today’s technology-laden world where students knowledge of computers frequently surpasses their instructors, we need a way to keep busy minds on the straight and narrow. While browsing through the section of Apple that highlights the new G5 (iWant), I came across some lesson plans and student films that were terribly cute and creative, so I thought I should share.

By using iLife applications in the classroom, educators are enhancing their curricula and students are inspired in ways you could not even imagine! iLife is a software suite featuring the latest versions of Apple’s iMovie, iPhoto, iTunes, and iDVD. You won’t believe the professional projects and classroom presentations you can create in just a few simple steps. Stop by and check out some of the movies and lesson plans that are posted on the site. You can view the projects by subject and since OSX is the foundation for the applications, no additional software or drivers are required!

Download the PDF on the lower right-side of the iLife page for an explanation of how easy this is to use.
