The index page looks pretty barren, but it holds wonderful treasures. Choose a map based on geography, coverage, and year (as old as 1755), then click on the link on the right of the description that says “metadata.” It will take you to a new page with a thorough description of the map, and a thumbnail of what it looks like. Click on JPEG or JAVA and you will open up a viewer for the map. Simply choose how close you’d like to zoom, and click the area you’d like to view. This is a wonderful set of maps!
