Were there any presidents born in Ohio?
Yes! Actually Ohio is often called the Mother of Modern Presidents: or "Mother of Presidents.” There are seven Ohio-born United States Presidents:
- Ulysses S. Grant,
- Rutherford Hayes,
- James Garfield,
- Benjamin Harrison,
- William McKinley,
- William Howard Taft,
- Warren Harding.
Some people in Ohio also like to claim William Henry Harrison as an Ohioan even though he was born in Virginia, because he later settled in Ohio and lived there until his death.
