Illinois is a major agricultural producer. In fact, more corn, soybeans, cattle, and hogs are produced here than in just about any other place in the world!
But, did you know Illinois farmers produce dozens of unique grains, livestock, and specialty crops? Many of them even find their way to your family’s table or into your homes. If you look closely, you’ll also find Illinois agricultural products in items like paints, cosmetics, medicines, fuels, printing inks, chemicals, beverages, and all kinds of food! See how many of these products you can find. You may use them every day. And remember . . . an Illinois farmer probably helped in making them!
