Note: The Wisconsin legislature noticed that there were many versions of the lyrics for "On, Wisconsin!" The original song had been a fight song for the University of Wisconsin's football team. Because of the confusion, the legislature designated the following as the official first verse of the state song. Below this, we have also included the original University of Wisconsin version of the song.
