Washington State Ship
There is always some confusion over whether the Lady Washington or the President Washington is Washington's state ship, but this should clarify some of those problems. This article explains that first there was the President Washington, then there was the Lady Washington. They have both been state ships in their own times. However, when the President Washington was sold and renamed, the Lady Washington earned her place at the top.

Washington State Tartan
Scottish tartans are an ancient tradition by which the Scottish were able to identify which clan they came from, and therefore, which area they lived in.
