Idaho Flower and Idaho State Tree

Idaho State Flower
The Syringa became the state flower in 1931 and was designated because there was references made to it in the journals of Lewis and Clark. It is often called "mock orange" because of its similiarity to an orange blossom and its orange-like smell.
