Sample School Supply List - Junior High

Here are some suggested supply lists for Junior High or Middle students.

7TH-GRADE SUPPLY LIST

  • 2” (at least) three ring binder with dividers
  • White, lined notebook paper (recycled is fine)
  • Weekly/daily planner
  • A pencil/pen pouch for the binder
  • A scientific calculator for math/science
  • #2 pencils (mechanical okay)
  • Blue or black ink pens
  • Yellow or pink highlighter
  • A large eraser
  • A set of colored pencils
  • A ruler
  • 2-3 pocket folders
  • Four spiral notebooks
  • Protractor and compass

8TH-GRADE SUPPLY LIST

  • One, three ring metal binder with dividers
  • 2-3 pocket folders
  • #2 pencils
  • blue or black pens
  • One red pen or red pencil
  • A set of colored pencils
  • A set of colored markers
  • College rule loose leaf notepaper
  • A scientific calculator (Texas Instruments recommended)
  • A ruler with standard and metric measurements
  • A protractor and compass
  • Four spiral notebooks

9TH-GRADE SUPPLY LIST

  • For portfolios: 11⁄2” view pocket binder
  • One package (box) of sheet protectors
  • One package (box) of sheet protectors with divider tabs
  • Three ring binder with dividers for each class
  • #2 pencils
  • Blue or black ink pens
  • Red Pen or Red Pencil
  • Large eraser
  • White, lined notebook paper (cannot be torn from a spiral notebook)
  • Scientific calculator
  • Spiral notebook for English
