The GMAT
If you're trying to figure out what the GMAT is and whether you should take it, this is a good place to start. This site has created a very thorough overview of the GMAT. According to xpertworkshop, "GMAT scores are used by nearly 1,700 graduate management programs throughout the world, and more than 1,000 of these programs require GMAT scores from each applicant."

This site explains what the test contains, how you can prepare for it, and where you can take it. You can find out how much it costs, how to schedule the test and even how to reschedule it if you need to rearrange your schedule. Can you take it more than once like the SAT? Yes, but apparently only once per calendar year.
