Books for Soldiers

Books For Soldiers

“Books For Soldiers is a soldier support site that ships books, DVDs and supplies to deployed soldiers and soldiers in VA hospitals, via a large volunteer network.”

“If you have old, but usable books or DVDs sitting around, collecting dust, why not send them to a soldier for a big morale boost?”

How does this work?

1 - GET AN ADDRESS
Go to the online bulletin board for an address of a soldier, airman, marine or sailor. Scroll through the names and pick someone who has not had a request fulfilled.

2 - SEND A BOOK
Try to send what the soldier requests, although some will just request “anything.” If you have old paperback books, that are in good shape, send them over. Try to send packages in something about the size of a shoe box or similar for quick delivery.

3 - TELL US ABOUT IT
If you send a book, post it on the bulletin board under the soldiers name. This keeps soldiers from getting multiple copies of the same title.
