The Army Heritage and Education Center

The AHEC has created this comprehensive museum that tells the story of the American Soldier.  The Military History Institute, Education Center, Army Heritage Museum, and Museum Park have assembled interactive displays of the history of the United States Army highlighting Army contributions in peace and in war.  These displays also commemorate the selfless service of the American soldier, their families, and the civilian employees who support the Army.  Providing a focal point for academic research and educational outreach within the Army and to the American people is a primary goal.  Here you can read about the development plans, prospective exhibits, projected costs, and see a timeline of scheduled plans.  You can also visit the online virtual museum that includes an exhibit titled, Determined to Serve.  This is a story about Brigadier General Luther P. Bradley, who lived from 1822 until 1910.  It was created using digitized photographs of three-dimensional artifacts, music, maps, and a timeline.  There are two more exhibits planned for the near future.
