The above lecture notes for teachers were created in PowerPoint by Don Shulte for the HBO Band of Brothers mini series. There is some excellent information in his presentation about Easy Company, how the various companies got their names, slang used in the war, as well as other fascinating little pieces of historical fact on the war.
If you are considering using Band of Brothers in your classroom, I would highly suggest downloading his PowerPoint notes and taking a look through them. You'll learn things you never knew. The notes are especially strong on the terminology of items found in the war.
