Background

What would it be like to be able to control time? Would you want to go into the future or into the Past? Would you want to speed it up, or slow it down? This lesson explores the time and Einstein’s Theory of Relativity.

Objective

With the use of The Time Machine, and/or Clockstoppers, explore the concept of time, the feasibility of time control, and Einstein’s Theory of Relativity.

Project 1 - Review the synopsis of the novel Einstein’s Dreams

Design another variation on the way time and space could function.

Project 2 - Watch Clockstoppers and discuss the possible scientific problems with increasing the speed that a person travels through space and time. Remember to take into consideration the concepts of aging, atmospheric friction, and metabolism.
