As parents, we want the best for our children. We save and sacrifice to make sure that they will have a bright future. But what happens if we're not here to help secure it? Then we need to make sure that we have taken steps to secure it in our absence.
It's hard to think about not being here for the important moments in our children's lives. As a mom, especially as a single mom, I can't imagine missing a single moment, and I'm sure that I'll live until 120! But what happens to my kids if the unthinkable happens? Even though I don't like to think about it...I have made plans. I have made sure that I have enough life insurance in place to take care of my children, make sure that they can go to college, and get a start in life, even though I'm no longer here. Of course, I plan to outlive my policy, but it's good to know that I have it in place just in case.
It's obviously better if we're here for our kids, so we eat right, exercise, don't smoke, and generally take care of ourselves. Even when we do all the right things, sometimes life intervenes, and we can no longer be here for those we love.
If you have children you should make sure that you're covered with a sufficient amount of life insurance to cover their needs if you're no longer here. It doesn't take much to ensure their future.
Contact your insurance agent to make sure that you are properly covered with the correct amount of life insurance, or check out the rates with eterm, below.
