La Purisima Concepcion is the eleventh of the twenty-one California Spanish Missions. Its official name is Mision La Purisima Concepcion de Maria Santisima. This mission was not founded by Father Sera, but rather by Padre Lasuen. It was founded on December 8, 1787.
