Earth Day Google Doodle
By Cynthia Kirkeby
Apr 21, 2011, 13:05 PST

To celebrate Earth Day, Google created an adorable animated doodle, but there is more there than meets the eye. If you look at the new Google doodle on their site, you will see that there is an animated waterfall. If you click on the doodle, you will go to search results for Earth Day, just like you do when you click the screenshot of the doodle below. But wait! There is more in store for you if you are patient....

Google's Earth Day Google (non-animated)

Without clicking just mouse over the Google Doodle. All of the animals are interactive. Just mouse over them (NO CLICKING) and see what they do. Be sure to mouse over everything in the doodle. The tree has a bird and the water has a fish. With the fish, you need to do a little bit more... keep mousing over the salmon until you get it to swim up the waterfall; and then watch for the surprise at the top of the falls! It's so cool!

Once you are done with the Earth Day Google Doodle, click on the image and learn more about the events of the day.
