Rounds Resounding Day (Advanced)
August 1

Rounds For More Advanced Singers

On August 1st you are encouraged to lift your voice up with a few of your friends to celebrate Rounds Resounding Day. If you’re a little beyond Row, Row, Row Your Boat then try some of these traditional rounds, many of which come from England.

At Beyond Row, Row, Row Your Boat, each song has accompanying sheet music and a sound clip in midi format that lasts anywhere from 11 to 72 seconds. The midi files are music only, no vocals. The really special thing about these midi files is that they perform the music in a round. You actually get to hear how the second “voice” sounds in the round.

The short summary below each tune tells you if the round is planned for a specific number of voices and the difficulty level of the rounds. There are a number listed as easy, a few that are listed as medium, two that are listed as hard, and one listed as complex . . . that one must be a doosey!

Grab some friends, lift up your voices, and have fun! Tell everyone you know who likes to sing, and even those who think they can’t, that August 1st is Rounds Resounding Day.
