Who is Osama Bin Laden and how was he involved with the attacks on September 11th, 2001.

On September 11th, 2001, two hijacked U.S. airliners were deliberately crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Another passenger jet was deliberately crashed into the Pentagon, headquarters of the U.S. military in Washington, D.C. Eighty miles south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania another hijacked airliner crashed. Thousands of men, women, and children from many countries were killed in these terrorist attacks.

A prime suspect in these attacks is Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden is also wanted in connection with the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, and terrorist attacks and murder attempts on Americans in Saudi Arabia and Somalia.

Born in Saudi Arabia, Osama bin Laden is believed to be in his late-forties. The youngest son of Saudi construction magnate Muhammad bin Laden, Osama bin Laden is the founder and financier of al-Qaida [the Base] - an Islamic terrorist organization. In 1994, the Saudi government revoked his citizenship and his family disowned bin Laden. He had moved to Sudan in 1991, but international pressure forced him to move to Afghanistan in 1996.

Bin Laden has black hair and brown eyes. He wears a long beard and mustache, which are graying. He speaks Arabic. The U.S. is offering up to twenty-five million dollars for information that leads to the arrest or conviction anywhere in the world of Osama bin Laden.
