September 14th, 2001 was designated a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance following the September 11th attacks. This is Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld's prayer spoken that day at the Cabinet.

Celebration and Sorrow at National Christmas Tree Lighting
America's national Christmas tree is now ablaze with light in a park just south of the White House. President Bush spoke at the lighting ceremony, which was dedicated to the victims of the September 11.
