The Morning of September 11th

On the morning of September 11th, 2001. I was at school at my high school. For me, it started out as a normal day, you know getting up in the morning and heading out to the school bus on the ride to school. I thought today was going to be fun and everything, but little did I know it would never be the same.
I went to my first period class which was Biology 1. The teacher was late getting into the classroom by about 15-20 minutes, so we new that something was wrong. When my teacher finally got into my classroom she told us the news. I didn't know what to do, I was scared and so shocked that something like this would happen to our nation. I went through the whole day just worrying, not knowing if someone that I knew was there or anything.
When I got home was the worst. Hearing about all those people who have lost there lives is so shocking, just because of our freedom to do what we want and everything. I was so mad and upset that I would just start crying.
Sometimes not knowing what was going to happen next in our nation. Just to see that so many families have lost a loved one is just so... hard to put into words.
For me, I did not lose anyone which I just sometimes put myself either; in the place of one of those people who were there when this all happened or, was one of the people who have lost a loved one. I feel so bad and now all those men and women are out there now fighting for or freedom is so good, but still to think that all of this happened to us. Also that we came together not only as a nation but as people is so unbeileveable that I am proud to say that, "I am proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free."
