The section on disabilities is fairly in depth and covers rather complex issues in easy to understand language. The article on Asperger's Syndrome will undoubtedly answer many parents' basic questions on this recently popular childhood diagnosis. The information given is not expected to be all-inclusive, but merely a starting point for further reading. The Brainskills site is well organized and easy to read, which scores high points with us in today's world of horribly cluttered websites. The categories cover fairly meaty topics (as mentioned above) as well as quite a few "fun" brain topics under their "Mind over Matter" section. There are currently about 100 articles on their site, written by their "team of experts." According to their site, "Our features and articles are written by professional journalists and experts - who have a particular interest, or a background in this area." However they do not specify anywhere who their team of experts are, nor do they credit the writers on their articles, so please be cautious when taking any advice or suggestions from the site. Always check the information against other sources, and your doctor. With that caution in mind, we have read through a number of BrainSkills articles and the information appears to be fairly well researched and well explained. © Copyright 2003 by ClassBrain.com |
