Safe Surfing - Pornography Filters & Resources

While visiting my cousins for Easter, my Aunt expressed her extreme frustration with her children using the web. She agrees that the Internet has a wealth of valuable information and teaching tools for children, but cannot tolerate the pornography sites that pop up while her children are surfing the net. My cousins belong to the “Clickerati” group, otherwise known as today’s tech-savvy generation of children who were using computers before they began to talk. My Aunt would like to avoid the endless calls of, “MOM, IT’S ANOTHER ONE!” every time a pornographic pop-up appears on their computer screen. To go about safeguarding your system, you must first clear your history, then empty your cache, then clear your cookies. Once you have completed these three steps, you probably want to install a program that blocks these types of sites from ever coming up again. Here is a list of resources to help you let your children surf the net safely.
