Conception to Birth
This amazing site will give you a visual tour of the magic of childbirth. Starting with information on the sperm and egg, you can explore the process of fertilization and watch as the cells divide and take form. From there a series of images show you how the fetus develops from three to eight weeks. After the slideshow, you can take a detailed look at each of the images and read about what is happening.
The Third trimester section allows you to explore the development of the fetuses organs. There are even cross sections to use to explore bone development. The images are absolutely stunning.
The final section is on the birth process. There are amazing animations which show how the baby is delivered through the birth canal and how the pelvis of the mother dislocates to allow for the babys passing.
This online presentation is a stunning way to explore what is happening during pregnancy and birth. This is not to be missed.
