With winter in full swing its time to use the handy resources that the Internet provides for checking the state of the weather from the warmth of your home. Here are some of the best places to get instant information.
National Weather Service
The U.S. Department of Commerce brings you warnings, graphical forecasts, and much more. Find out if you area or a place you might be headed has winter storm warnings, freeze warnings, flood warnings, and specific advisories. Research past weather patterns, check the glossary for appropriate terminology. Visit the Education/Outreach page to find special resources for teachers, students, and the genral public.
