Learning how to connect with other single parents can be difficult when you find yourself alone again. Yahoo personals have been around for a long time, which means they have an established base of members. They have so many members that you'll probably quite a few people in your area that fit your criteria. Although there are a dozens if not hundreds of dating services on the Internet, Yahoo Personals has a good reputation, and I have had a good personal experience with them. Please be sure not to include your last name, address, or phone number where everyone can see it. Unless you have taken steps to block the information, someone can find out where you live in seconds with nothing more than your phone number.
Never have someone come to your home on the first date. Your date should always be in a public place to start. In a setting where you are comfortable, and have the ability to leave whenever you feel like it.
If you set up a meeting with someone, make sure that it is in a public place. Coffee dates seem to make the ideal first date. If your both enjoying yourself it can last as long as you want, if you're not its easy to excuse yourself and leave.
Always arrive in your own car. If you want to leave, you can.
Use common sense when setting up a date. With a little bit of caution, the Internet is a great way to meet new people.
