Topic: Tropical Rainforest

ClassBrain Visitor:

I need information on anything about the tropical rainforest.

ClassBrain Response:

As you know a rainforest is a tropical woodland with an annual rainfall of at least 100 inches, with broad-leaved evergreen trees forming a continuous canopy. There are some really cool resources out there for tropical rainforests, so here are some that will help you in your search for information.

The Rainforest Action Network: Kids Corner

Scroll down this page and click on any of these topics to learn more about the rainforest. We suggest starting with The Rainforest Slide Show. Then click on the butterfly to learn how rainforests are full of life. Next click on Rainforest People, or the gecko to learn about rainforest Animals.

The fact sheet for students is also an excellent resource if you're working on a report.

The Rainforest Workshop also has student resources for the tropical rainforest.

Have fun!
