Dear Ask ClassBrain,
I'm a ninth grade Language Arts teacher interested in locatingthe best motivational novel available for student independent reading. I need a suggestion this week if at all possible.
Dear L.C. Shaw:
Motivational is a bit of a tough term, because it can mean so many different things to different people.
Hers a list of a few books that we think may fit the bill:
Mr. Dream Merchant: A Novel by Erroll J. Bailey
The Magic Life - A Novel Philosophy by Ace Starry
Purpose Lies Within: A Motivational Book For The Heart & Soul by Kimberly S. Phillips
Who Moved My Cheese? An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life by Spencer, M.D. Johnson and Kenneth H. Blanchard
We hope this list helps. If these dot seem to be along the lines of what you were thinking, please let us know. As we said, motivational is a difficult term. We chose books that deal with the individual, their sense of self, and what it takes to move forward in life to make a difference. Feel free to write us anytime.
Cynthia Kirkeby and Melissa Papke
