What effect does the electromagnetic spectrum have on living things?
Kim B
Dear Kim,
Electromagnetism effects all sorts of life on this planet. Plants, birds, and toads have been involved in experiments related to the effects of electromagnetic waves. There is some evidence that seems to point to a disruption in the breeding patterns of birds when electromagnetic fields are changed. Apparently, pigeons are also able to use electromagnetic waves for navigation during their migrations.
Electromagnetic Radiation also can be harmful at high frequencies. Wve included a link to a research project from Russia. Is difficult reading, but the chart at the end shows some of the effects they have encountered in their research.
This article has an easy-to-read explanation about its effect on plants:

We hope this helps.
